The low frequency king butyl rubber sound deadening mat with hole is specifically designed for soundproofing vehicle floors and trunks, and is highly effective at eliminating low-frequency vibrations. The 3 mm thick closed-cell foam effectively absorbs high-frequency airborne noise that traditional sound deadening materials can’t eliminate — such as engine noise through the firewall, road noise from the floor, and vibration through the trunk.
Perfect for use under carpet, on the firewall, and in the trunk, this thicker foam layer delivers superior noise absorption and thermal insulation, especially when used with GCI PRO as a base layer. The result is a solid, luxurious ride with less vibration, heat, and fatigue.

Application: Floor Pan

Floor: 10–20 pieces (depending on vehicle floor area); 7–9 mm

Step 1

Decide which part of the car you want to soundproof first: doors, floor, roof, trunk or hood.Soundproofing of each individual part of the car has its own result and effects on the overall outcome. Therefore, for the most effective result, we recommend that you install soundproofing material on all of the above main parts of the car.

Step 2

On the Internet on special websites or forums, find a guide on how to disassem-ble the interior of your car and read it carefully. Now dismantle the trim of the part of the car that you want to insulate. Be careful when removing the interior trim, avoid breaking the fasteners! To do this, use a special clip remover.

Step 3

After removing the interior trim, check what the standard sound insulation is made of. If it is made of jute or other fibrous material, temporarily remove it and reinstallit as a second layer on top of GCI. If the standard sound insulation is made of hard bitumen plates,and it is damaged or unstuck, remove it and install GCl in its place. If the standard sound insulation of bitumen is not damaged, then stick GCI on top of it, having thoroughly cleaned and degreased the surface of the standard sound insulation.

Step 4

Thoroughly clean and degrease the surface of the body with a degreaser and a dry. clean cloth before installing the material. For successful installation, the surface has to be dry and clean! The material will not be fixed and will not last long when applied on a wet or dirty surface. We recommend that you carry out all work wearing gloves and air the room from time to time.
